Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and BCS Memory Box, LLC ("we," "us"). By using the website or purchasing our service, you agree to them. Please read them — they're written to be clear.

What we provide

BCS Memory Box helps you record your life story by voice. We transcribe your recordings and polish them into a written memoir document, organized into four sections. The base service ("Your Story") includes two rounds of revisions.

Pricing

• Your Story — $125 (one-time), for your polished memoir document.
• Add Photographs — free; you match photos to your stories.
• Add a Hardcover Book — included in the Hardcover Memoir and Family Legacy packages; additional printed copies are $49 each (optional).

The prices shown on our homepage are the current prices and govern any sale.

Your content and your rights

You own your stories. The recordings, photos, and finished memoir are yours. By using the service, you give us permission to process your recordings and photos solely to create and deliver your memoir. You confirm that you have the right to share the stories and photos you provide, and that they don't violate anyone else's rights.

Acceptable use

Please use the service for your own personal life stories. Don't upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share. The free trial is for sampling the service; please don't abuse or attempt to overload it.

Turnaround and revisions

We aim to produce your memoir within a reasonable time after you finish recording (typically a few weeks). Two rounds of revisions are included so we can get it right. We want you to be happy with your story.

No guarantee of a specific result

We bring genuine care and editorial judgment to every memoir, but writing is a human craft and we can't guarantee a specific literary outcome. The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages.

Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version will always be posted here.
